Dennis is developing into a fine Martial Artist. In May he passed his 8th Kyu grading and is currently working towards his yellow belt. He still needs to learn the importance of Warm Ups and why it is a crucial part of physical training. On the plus side, Den excels at strength exercises and shows good form. He is very agile and performs cartwheels, forward rolls with ease. He is also starting to show leadership skills and helps to encourage others.
Over the last few months Den has shown a lot of maturity and doesn't mess about as much as he used to. He is respectful, shows good etiquette and is gaining in confidence all the time. Den recently took part in our MISOMA Push Up competition and achieved an amazing score of 80. An incredible score for anyone, never mind a child of 8 years old. The strength and determination he showed was admirable and I hope that he can continue to put the same effort into his Martial Arts training.
Over the next few months I will be working with Den to help him develop his stances and his kicking skills. He has also shown an interest in sparring, so I will be helping him progress in this area too.
